Took some more up

So when we left the harbor this morning the boats that had left before us had turned around I guess it was to bad down below . So Ethan and I decided to take another small load of traps . I think I should have hauled instead the wind let go and it was pretty nice out by the time we had the traps on the boat and heading for home . I hope tomorrow is a copy of today we have a bunch of bait to use up now .

Sun rise again

I did get these two pictures I think all sun rises are great to look at so I try to take a picture of everyone I see .

Wind and waves

The wind is still doing a good job of keeping us in . I would have liked to gone out today , but I guess this is why it's called winter fishing . Today's day off gave me a  chance to make some baked beans so I guess it's not a told bust .

This is a Rock crab we get 0.35 cents a lbs for them . They bite real hard and do not let go very often . My first time getting bit was awful I did not have gloves on and ended up with with both thumbs being bit at the same time . The two older guys I was with were laughing so hard they had tears in their eyes . Eventually one of them helped out of my  predicament . My thumbs throb for the rest of the day and I learned to handle the rock crab with care .

Scalloping

This is Dave he likes to go Scalloping in the winter I think this is his first day I hope he got a few .

Tuna heads

We used Tuna fish heads for bait yesterday they came all the way from Vietnam . They are frozen we took 10 boxes of them $24.00 a box we will see how the Lobsters like them in 5or 6 days

First home game

Well basketball season is here again . Alana ,Cathy ,and I went to watch the Vikings play against the North Haven Hawks . Both teams played well the Viking ladies won , good job girls . This is the first time in 4 years Lana Mae has had to watch the game from the bleachers .The Viking boys also were winners tonight they all played very strong .The starting 5 looked great and I can't forget the second string those young kids had some butterflies in the beginning  , but pushed through them and ended doing a great job way to go boys. The finale score was 62  to 30 something. This is Barbra Seawell's great granddaughter Scarlet she is a little cutie I think  she is 4. The kids on both teams are wearing the shirts you guys see in this picture . It's in honor of Joey Reidy   he is doing better now keep strong Joe you can do it buddy.

Church on Sunday

We went to Church on Sunday it was great . Wayne and Karen introduced us to all their friends . Everyone was great I thought . Both Cathy and I got a lot out of it and cannot wait to go again . I think this is something we both needed .I am very happy we got the chance to go. After church we came back to their house and had dinner with all the kids and their families . Everyone is was so nice and made it easy for me to feel comfortable thank you guys it means a lot .

Other sights
